At Rainbow Pottery, we want your group experience to be seamless, enjoyable, and memorable. Here’s everything you need to know to plan your event:

Session Duration:

Each session lasts 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to get creative, chat, and enjoy the experience. If you think you’ll need extra time for larger groups or detailed projects, just let us know when booking—we’re happy to discuss extending your session where possible.
Group Size:

We can accommodate both small and large groups up to 24 painters, making our studio the ideal venue for everything from intimate gatherings to big celebrations. Let us know the number of attendees when booking so we can prepare the space accordingly.
Studio Fee:

Each painter pays a £5 studio fee, which covers all painting materials, glazing, and firing. The cost of the pottery item you choose is additional and depends on the item selected.

Advance booking is essential to secure your preferred date and time. Larger groups should book early to avoid disappointment, and you can contact us directly for any special requests or queries.

How many people can your studio accommodate?: Our studio can comfortably accommodate up to 20 people. If your group is larger, please contact us to discuss options for private bookings or additional arrangements.

When can we collect our pottery?: Finished pieces will be ready for collection within 2 weeks of your session. We’ll notify you when they’re ready, and they’ll be safely stored until pickup.
Is your studio accessible for all group members?: Our studio is wheelchair and pushchair accessible from the street. However, there is a small step to the restroom area. If you have specific accessibility needs, please inform us in advance.
Do you offer discounts for large groups?: Discounts may be available for groups of 10 or more participants. Contact us for details about group rates and special offers.
Can we take our pottery home the same day?: Unfortunately, no. Each piece needs to be glazed and fired in our kiln, which takes time. This process ensures a high-quality, durable finish.

Pottery Painting - How It Works

Creating your own masterpiece at Rainbow Pottery is easy, fun, and perfect for all ages. Whether you’re visiting us for a family day out, a special occasion, or just a bit of creative relaxation, our simple four-step process ensures you’ll leave with a unique and beautifully finished piece to treasure. Here’s how it works:

Step 1:

Choose Your Piece

To book a table, there is a £5 studio fee per painter, payable when booking. This covers your table reservation, use of paints, glazing, and kiln firing.

On the day of your visit, you’ll choose and pay separately for your bisque pottery item. Prices vary depending on the piece selected, with options including mugs, plates, animals, vases, plaques, money boxes, and more.
Step 2:

Design and Paint

Unleash your creativity using our child-safe, non-toxic paints. We provide a variety of brushes, sponges, and other tools to help you bring your vision to life.

Don’t worry if you’re a beginner—our friendly team is always here to assist and inspire. Feel free to bring your own design ideas, or simply let your imagination run wild!
Step 3:

Glazing and Firing

Once you’ve finished your masterpiece, leave it with us for glazing and firing in our on-site kiln.

This process enhances the durability, gloss, and vibrancy of your creation, making it a truly unique, long-lasting keepsake. The firing typically takes around 2 weeks, so your piece will be ready in no time!
Step 4:

Collect Your Creation

Your finished pottery piece will be ready for collection within two weeks. When it’s ready, pop back into the studio to pick up your unique work of art.
